Reims

My older sister, her friend Tim and I took a day trip to Reims, France (pronounced “Rhance” – why, I still don’t understand). It was a very cute city with lots of beautiful architecture and charm.

We got there in the morning and walked around the city. We stopped by the Notre Dame de Reims, one of the most incredible cathedrals I’ve seen. Next we walked around the main downtown areas, which was mostly shopping and restaurants. That part looked fairly similar to the touristy parts of Paris. Lunch was amazing; I tried carpaccio of scallops and truffles, and some kind of rabbit main dish, both were amazing. We also got a glass of wine each to pregame our wine tour, which was next!

Our wine tour was so great – we went to two champagne houses and the resting place of Dom Pérignon. I learned a lot about wine and drank some great wine. It was an amazing day!!
